VIDEO SCHOOL OF GUITAR

Below is a handy chart for learning how chord shapes progress up the Guitar's fingerboard

If you cannot figure it out, then keep studying!

A "light will come on" eventually!

KEYS ACROSS - SHAPES DOWN!

KEYS WERE PICKED BECAUSE THEY ARE THE MOST POPULAR ONES USED IN GUITAR MUSIC.

THE KEYS GO ACROSS  AND  THE SHAPES FOLLOW OPEN SHAPES OF C - A - G - E - D CHORDS.

IN EACH KEY THE SHAPES PROGRESS UP THE NECK FOLLOWING THE WORD “CAGED”.

THE SMALL BLACK NUMBERS ON TOP OF EACH DIAGRAM ARE THE FRET NUMBERS.

THE COLORED LETTERS ARE THE ACTUAL NAMES OF THE NOTES (HOLLOW AND SOLID).
